DJ Safri is co-founder and resident DJ of the acclaimed monthly Mystic Grooves events.
Together with guest DJs, musicians & dancers Safri sets fire to the dancefloor with a hot & spicy mix of Indian Bhangra, Bollywood Breaks, Lebanese House, Egyptian Bellydance Hip-Hop, Moroccan Drum 'n Bass, Turkish Sufi-trance, Gypsy Grooves and much more. Besides music, there is stunning decoration, visuals, (belly)- dancers & food.

Mystic Grooves started in September 2003 with a monthly Thursday night at Rasa, Utrecht. Soon after, the nights got sold out regularly. As a result, the attention for Mystic Grooves from outside Utrecht started to grow. A second monthly night started at De Melkweg, Amsterdam. In 2006, the parties in Utrecht moved from Rasa to the bigger Tivoli-De Helling.

They could also be found on many festivals: Lowlands (2004), Museumnacht Amsterdam (2005), Amsterdam Roots (2004/2005), NuMoon Fest Rotterdam, United Cultures Rotterdam, Rotterdam Import, Festival a/d Werf, Utrecht
and other clubs & venues: Paradiso (Marmoucha) Amsterdam, Ruigoord, Stadschouwburg Utrecht, 013 Tilburg (2010) and even some corporate events.
